Every time I go to work on a new blog post, something inevitably comes up and I have to put it on hold. Then the post doesn't happen until over a week after it was relevant information. Now I just look like a lazy blogger. It's already December and I'm just now posting about Thanksgiving.
Ok, I'm done whining.
Now I shall tell you about our Thanksgiving, which was amazing. I mean, amazing until Anna refused to go to sleep at her bedtime and turned into the World's Most Unhappy Baby and we had to leave. But before that it was amazing.
We arrived at my mom's house early afternoon. Jonathan and Jin Mee arrived shortly after us and we promptly got to work while Anna miraculously took a nap:

Jonathan doing what he does best
Anna woke up just a few minutes before Thanksgiving dinner was ready and on the table. Mom did practically everything herself this year. I swear, she must be Superwoman or something! It was a vast feast, and DELECTABLE!
A well-rested baby is a happy baby!
My mom is such a gourmet! *proud*

Anna enjoying her sweet potatoes (although I think the turkey was her favorite)
After dinner, we hung around the table and talked for a while. Then, it was time to get down to business. The first thing on Anna's agenda, of course, was crawling around and exploring.
"Can you say 'computer'?"
Everything goes in the mouth. E-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g.
"What, these aren't mine??"
"This appears to be... hmm... Virginia topsoil, I believe. Northeastern region."
"HORSIES!"
Everyone else' business was looking at Black Friday ads!
Mmmm Capitalism! A system of symbiotic beauty...
And of course Anna had to have a blowout. It wouldn't be a family holiday without one!
"Pooping is fun!"

David chillaxin' with Zaka, Zuli (Rhodesian Ridgebacks), and Felicity (Golden Retriever)
It was around this time of the evening that we tried to put Anna to bed because she was obviously exhausted, but she would have none of it. So, we threw in the towel and decided to head home. Not without leftovers, of course! Oh, and in case you're wondering, Anna conked out after 10 seconds in the car. Le sigh!
Ridgebacks really are like horses. I want one so bad, hahaha.
ReplyDeleteYour kid is so stinkin cute.
