Anna's Tenth Month Recap

On December 2nd, Anna turned 10 months.  This past month has been a busy one!  Although, now that I think about it, they've all been pretty busy...

The beginning of her 10th month was pretty hectic because we were moving.  It was quite the upgrade!  We went from a 1-bedroom, 750 sq ft 3rd floor apartment to a 2 bedroom plus loft, 1125 sq ft 3-story condo.  Anna finally got to have her own room.  I have to admit, I wasn't quite ready for her to be in a separate room, but she seemed happier in her own sleeping space so I made myself cope.  I didn't get much sleep those first few nights, though.  Not being able to hear her every squeak and position adjustment actually made me sleep worse than when she was right next to me.  Now I just have to relish the times she wakes up in the night to nurse, so we can cuddle.

Our new place was Anna's first encounter with stairs.  It didn't take her long (less than a day, actually) to figure them out.

This is actually one of her less enthusiastic runs.  Sometimes, she's literally up the stairs like a shot.

She also had her very first big-kid bath after we moved.  She loved having all that space to splash around in!

Naked baby alert!!

Anna has learned that waving makes friends, so she pretty much waves at every opportunity -- except when you WANT her to wave.  Then she'll just stare at you with an expression that says, "Pssh, I wave when I want, yo!"  Copy-cat has turned into one of her favorite games.  Here she is playing it with Thomas (he's offscreen, but she is doing everything he's doing).

What a cutie!!

This past month also contained Anna's first Thanksgiving.

Too much fun to be had on Thanksgiving!

And just a few days after that, she clapped her hands ALL by herself!  This snowballed into round-the-clock Patty Cake.  And for some reason I don't have any pictures or videos of that.  Bummer.  Well, suffice to say she can "pat" and "roll" all by herself, and she's QUITE proud of that fact.

If I had to pick her favorite food at this point, it would be avocados, hands down!  I just need to learn to NOT give her any unless she's in her high chair...

It took me forever to clean up her activity center...

NOM

And she's FINALLY started saying "mama" again!  The heavens rejoice!  Now she calls me "mama" and Thomas "dada."  Most of the time... sometimes they're interchangeable!
