Happy October! What are we most excited about this month? Why, Halloween, of course!
Energetic little candy corn legs!
Yes, it's the start of our favorite time of year in the Vaughn household. A whirlwind of festivities that won't stop until after our birthdays! But I'm getting ahead of myself. First, let's look back on the past month and everything we (and by "we" I mean Anna...) have accomplished.
The month started off with Anna's introduction to the ocean. Pacific, specifically (say that five times fast)!
On September 10th, Anna finally started crawling. Here she is a few days later, on the move:
And here she is -- just a few days after that -- pulling up to stand all by herself:
Anna cut her first top tooth on September 22nd. She's still working, however, on its neighbor. The darn thing just refuses to cut! We can see it right under the surface, taunting all of us. But, in the meantime, we've discovered her favorite teether:
A nice, cold carrot!
Happy baby
This past month she has also started saying "dada" on a regular basis to Thomas. Unfortunately, she's lost all interest in the word "mama," despite my incessant encouragement. It's all d's and g's and b's for her this month. No more m's for a while, I guess!
Anna and "Dada" -- dancing fools!
Anna's favorite activities this past month have included singing, dancing, climbing over whatever happens to be in her way (including Mommy and Daddy), and putting the cat's tail in her mouth.
Anna Diane -- 8 months old
I don't know how you kept from squealing with delight while she was crawling. Soooooo cute! And I love that baby butt!
