Trials and Triumphs

This past week has been a rough one.  Among other things, the car broke down (again) and Anna's teething has been the worst yet.  Little sleep has been had at the Vaughn residence.  Except by the cat.  She's gotten plenty.  Jerk.

The week hasn't been without it's happy moments, however, and we're here to share some of those.  Anna seems to be developing a small amount of separation anxiety.  While this isn't a good thing, necessarily, it does make a mama feel pretty nice.  So I'm going to run with that.

Moving along...

Despite the teething, Anna has been (for the most part) a happy camper.  Her (relatively) new-found ability to explore her surroundings has made her curious like a cat!

On top of it all, she and Yuffie are becoming surprisingly good friends.  Yuffie, of course, has her own weird ways of showing affection, but we can tell she's growing pretty fond of Anna.

Yesterday we got a delightful surprise in the mail!  Aunt Kim and Uncle David sent Anna a package in honor of her first Halloween.  Thanks, guys!  (This is the edited version because it seriously took Thomas, like, 3 minutes to open the box.)

Lastly, to address the first two things mentioned in this update, Anna FINALLY cut that tooth and Thomas (HE-MAN!) was able to fix the car.  No, seriously, that man deserves props for this one.  It was a nightmare.  So, we have a working car again and a baby with FOUR teeth.  Huzzah!
