Anna's First Halloween

In the Vaughn household, Halloween is second only to Christmas.  It's a holiday we anticipate all year and when it finally arrives -- HOORAY!

This year was no exception, although our plans were more baby-centered than in previous years.  You know, I think that made it more fun.  Everything is more fun through the eyes of babes.

It has been so hard to narrow down the pictures I want to post.  The sheer volume of pictures we took is... well, a little staggering.  I think I've managed to pick the cream of the crop, however, and without further ado I present to you:

Anna Banana! (pictured with Grammy)

I'm getting ahead of myself, again.  Our Halloween festivities actually spanned Sunday and Monday.  We started off by going to a pumpkin patch on Sunday evening.  Anna did NOT like sitting on the hay bale by herself for a picture, so I stepped in for some moral support.

Mommy's Lil' Pumpkin!

Then on Monday night, Anna had a fabulous time at the Mesa Naz "Celebrate The Light" festival.  First, we got our picture taken in the photo booth.

Then we did a little socializing with our friends...

Anna and Malachi (being a superhero is serious business!)

Anna being coy with Paula

Anna making Grammy and Daddy laugh

Then we got our caricature drawn!

And of course there was a fair amount of just hangin' out.

I think it's safe to say that Anna had a blast and we're looking forward to many more fun-filled Halloweens!
